Tom Ford named this bag the Reins for a reason, the karung snakeskin strapping crossing the front the same way a horse’s tack would, buckled together at a round GG medallion instead of a hardware clasp. Red satin body, gold tone hardware, the whole design built to reference the GG thong Ford put on the runway a few years earlier, worn as a bag instead of underwear. We think that reference is exactly what makes this a collector’s piece rather than a vintage accessory, unmistakably Ford’s Gucci and nobody else’s. Satin lining, mini crossbody strap.
