Balenciaga fades and frays the canvas here on purpose, edges left distressed instead of clean, so the shoe reads worn in before it’s actually been worn. Black canvas upper, off-white rubber toe cap and sole, “Balenciaga” printed low across the front instead of stitched anywhere obvious. Lace-up closure, vulcanized rubber sole. We didn’t get the distressing at first glance. Then we saw it on, and it’s the detail that makes the shoe.
Every piece is authenticated before it gets a price tag. No exceptions, and no “authenticated” label on some pieces but not others.
