Most watches hide the mechanism. This one opens a small window at six o’clock and lets you watch it work, which Frederique Constant calls the Heart Beat and which is really just the escapement ticking away in plain sight. We think that window does more for the watch than the moonphase does, though the moonphase is the one people point at first. Silver dial, Clous de Paris guilloché texture across the center, Roman numerals in black, polished stainless steel case, black calf leather strap. It runs on an automatic movement, so the only maintenance it asks for is being worn. Very good condition, no scratches on the crystal, strap still supple. It does not announce itself. People notice it anyway.
