Céline belt brown leather

Tan calfskin with a wide round gold buckle framed by two keeper plates engraved with scrollwork arabesques, hardware from the Céline Vipiana era, when the Paris house was producing leather goods with a quietness that the logo-heavy decades that followed largely abandoned. No Triomphe, no house name stamped on the buckle face. We see a lot of Céline belts come through, and the ones from this period have a weight to the metal that the current runs don’t quite match. The cognac leather has deepened exactly as good calfskin should.
