The Louis Vuitton x Takashi Murakami Monogram Multicolor Nano Speedy in black is exactly what it looks like: Louis Vuitton shrinks the Speedy down to nano scale, small enough to carry almost nothing, and lets Murakami’s 33 colored monogram print do the rest of the talking against black canvas. Vachetta leather handles, gold tone padlock and clochette hanging off the side just like the full sized bag it’s modeled on. We think the black colorway is the sharper pick of the two backgrounds Murakami used, the colors popping harder against dark canvas than they ever do on white. Barely functional as an actual bag, which was always part of the appeal.
