Item care specialist

You know what makes a Chanel bag from 1995 different from one made in 2003. You can spot a re-stitched handle, a replaced zipper, a lining that’s been touched. You understand that the difference between a piece that sells for €800 and one that sells for €2.400 is often just the right repair, done by the right person.

WHAT YOU DO

At Luxeparel, every item that comes through the door passes through your hands before it goes anywhere else. You assess the condition, decide what needs attention, coordinate with our trusted repair specialists, cobbler, tailor, leather specialist, and make sure every piece is ready to be sold or photographed at its best.

You also manage the intake list that drives our webshop drops, handle item registration in our system, and serve as a second point of contact for consignment intake alongside our lead buyer.

In practice:

  • Assess every incoming item: what’s the condition, what’s needed, what’s the potential
  • Coordinate repairs with external specialists (cobbler, tailor, bag specialist, Entrupy authentication)
  • Manage the intake list, this determines what goes into the weekly webshop drop
  • Item registration and admin in our consignment software
  • Backup for consignment intake when needed

WHO YOU ARE

This is not an entry-level role. We’re looking for someone who has spent time around luxury goods, whether in retail, at an auction house, at a brand, in resale, or simply through years of personal obsession.

You have:

  • Genuine knowledge of luxury fashion: brands, materials, craftsmanship, condition grading
  • A sharp eye and high standards: you notice what others miss
  • The ability to work independently and make decisions without constant input
  • Comfort with admin and systems: you don’t drop the ball on logistics
  • An understanding of what makes a piece sellable, not just beautiful

You are:

  • Precise without being slow
  • Opinionated about quality
  • Someone who gets the Luxeparel world without needing it explained
