Prada has a long history of taking something almost conservative, a pointed toe, a kitten heel, a slingback, and adding exactly one detail that reframes the whole thing. Here it’s a starburst of black beading radiating from the toe, against beige satin, with a thin black patent ankle strap. The heel is gold, the insole stamped Prada in the same tone. Restrained until you look at the front, which is the point.
